Accelis Diet Pill Review

Accelis is an all natural herbal diet pill made by Iovate Health Sciences Research, Inc.  Accelis claims that study participants lost an average of 10.65 pounds over 8 weeks by using this product, although no data was provided as to the sample size of the participants.

Unlike so many other diet supplements, this product does not use stimulants like caffeine. The key ingredient in Accelis is corosolic acid, derived from Lagerstroemia speciosa, a plant from the South Pacific historically used for controlling blood sugar levels. The product supposedly assists in weight loss "by helping muscle cells absorb sugar from the blood, rather than storing it in fat cells." While some studies have shown this to be the case in mice, there is insufficient evidence of this in humans. Furthermore, there are warnings in the product information for people with diabetes diet needs to check with a health care provider before taking this product and to monitor blood glucose levels.

Other ingredients included in Accelis are caffeine-free green tea extract, caffeine-free oolong tea extract, caffeine-free white tea extract, chamomile extract, Passionflower extract and Soy phospholipids, all healthy ingredients of diet food supplements. Unfortunately, the Supplement Facts does not provide information on the quantity of these ingredients, rather it simply lists "Accelis weight loss proprietary blend." Therefore, it is hard to judge whether the components are provided in effective concentration levels.
