Acomplia works by blocking certain receptors in the liver and the brain, thereby affecting the way the body processes fat and glucose. Acomplia is not available in the United States because it has not yet received approval from the FDA. Studies have not conclusively proven that Acomplia is an effective weight loss diet pill. Potential side effects of these weight loss products include nausea/vomiting, depression, and suicidal thoughts.
