Best Carb Blocker Diet Pills
With the continuing popularity of low carb diet plans, cookbooks and menu items, it seems that more people are counting carbs than calories! And rightfully so – when carbohydrates are absorbed by your body, they are turned into sugar, and sugar contributes to weight gain. If you want to look slim and trim, then maintaining a low carb lifestyle as part of a weight loss diet is important. But cutting back on carbs isn't always easy (and it certainly isn't fun!).
Luckily for us, several companies have developed a new kind of diet pill that prevents your body from absorbing those carbs in the first place, therefore helping you lose weight - or at the very least, preventing you from gaining more weight. Unfortunately, a good many of those carb blockers have turned out to be ineffective.
My name is Stephanie, and I am the resident expert on carb blockers here at Weight Loss Guide. I'm here to help you find a Carb Blocker that will quickly, safely, and effectively prevent the absorption of carbohydrates into your body and therefore lead you to weight loss diet success. My research team and I have searched hundreds of resources to compile a list of the most popular and most recommended carb blockers on the market. We then evaluated each one on the criteria below.
- Ingredients/Ingredient Quality
- Safety/Side Effects
- Speed/Effectiveness
- Feedback/Research

We searched high and low for
the best Carb Blockers and when we found
CarboRid™, we knew we found a winner!
CarboRid™ was the one product of them all
that seemed to provide the right
ingredients, in the right amounts to truly
be effective for actually blocking
carbohydrate absorption so your body resorts
to burning its own stored fat for energy
instead. This is a great product for diet success!
Many studies have been done on the ingredients contained within CarboRid™ with outstanding results! Those who took the main ingredient in CarboRid, Phaseolamin, lost significantly more weight than those taking a placebo. Fenugreek has also been shown to have benefits such as regulating blood sugar levels and lowering cholesterol. Other potent ingredients in CarboRid include Chromium picolinate, Gymnema sylvestre, Green Tea Leaf, Galangal Root, Banaba Leaf, Cinnamon and Vanadium. All together a superb product!

Carb Cutter with Phase 2 by
Health & Nutrition Systems International is
also based on Phaseolamin. Additionally, it
contains a proprietary Carb Free blend,
which contains gymnema sylvestre, fenugreek
seed, garcina cambogia, hydroxycitric acid,
and vanadium. While some of these
ingredients could be very beneficial for a healthy diet, the
entire blend is only 50mg, so if split
evenly among the ingredients, it comes out
to only 10mg for each ingredient – not
nearly enough to be effective. In addition,
several users have complained of weight
gain, even when adhering to a relatively
low-carb diet.
Carb Cutter offers a somewhat promising line-up of ingredients, but they would need to be in much higher quantities to make this a worthwhile option. Therefore, Weight Loss Guide cannot recommend Carb Cutter with Phase 2.

Like most other carb blockers,
C-Block Carbohydrate Inhibitor Tabs by
Absolute Nutrition includes as its primary
ingredient phaseolamin. C-Block also
contains very small quantities of Vanadium
and Chromium.
Although it's relatively along the right track, it just doesn't provide the scope and quantity of effective ingredients we've seen in other products, such as our first choice pick. And without extra ingredients for fat burning and to curb cravings, results will not be nearly as good. Weight Loss Guide therefore does not recommend this product.

Carb Eliminator by Baywood
contains multiple ingredients. First it
contains Vitamin C, which is a strange
ingredient for a Carb Blocker. It also
includes a tiny bit of Chromium, but not
enough to have any effect for quick weight loss. And then it
includes three proprietary blends – a Carb
Blocking blend (which includes phaseolamin),
an Energy Blend, and a Digestive Enzyme
Blend.
Normally when a company uses proprietary blends, they are just masking the insufficiency of ingredients and/or the use of fillers. Also, the Energy Blend in Carb Eliminator is full of caffeine and stimulants, making it a potentially unsafe option. For these reasons, Weight Loss Guide does not recommend Carb Eliminator.

Cheaters Relief by BSN
contains a Fat Relief Blend (including
Chitosan and Cassia Nomame), and a Carb
Relief/Glucose Regulator Blend (including
Phaseolamin and Alpha Lipoic Acid). Because
the ingredients are listed under proprietary
blends, we don't know the exact amount of
each individual ingredient. However, if the
entire pill only contains 564mg, suffice it
to say that the ingredients couldn't
possibly be provided in amounts large enough
to be effective.
Because of the likely insufficient quantities of ingredients, Weight Loss Guide does not recommend Cheaters Relief.

Not surprisingly, Carb-X by
Natural Max is also based on phaseolamin.
However they have at least included a few
other supporting ingredients, as well, such
as Green tea extract, which can be helpful
for the best weight loss results and for boosting energy.
Chromium is also included, but in such a
small quantity as to not be effective.
Additionally, they have included wheat
extract, which is puzzling, as it has not
been proven effective for carb blocking in
any regard.
Again, the lack of spectacular ingredients leaves us unable to really recommend Carb-X.

Healthy Curb by Nutritional
Therapeutics is another Carb Blocker that
uses phaseolamin to block carbs. However, it
is not their main ingredient. Instead, they
have included a proprietary blend of some
mysterious "NT Factor," about which no
detailed information is available. It is
never wise to use a weight loss product when you
don't even know what's really in it.
For all the above reasons, Weight Loss Guide does not recommend Healthy Curb.

As with other Carb Blockers,
it's common to see phaseolamin as the
primary ingredient. Phase2 by Now
unfortunately includes phaseolamin as its
only ingredient. While phaseolamin is an
important ingredient for carb blockers,
Phase 2's lack of any supporting ingredients
is what makes it an inferior product. It is
the synergy between phaseolamin and other
supporting elements in a weight friendly diet that makes for the most
effective results.
The lack of spectacular results leads Weight Loss Guide to not recommend Phase2.

Carb Intercept with Phase 2 by
Natrol is another common choice among Carb
Blockers. For most of these products, the
primary ingredient will be phaseolamin. For
Carb Intercept, however, it is its only
ingredient. That is the biggest detriment to
this product – its lack of supporting
ingredients. It's the way phaseolamin works together with other elements, along with daily exercise and a healthy diet,
that makes for the most dramatic results.
However, with no supporting ingredients, the results will simply not be as good as our first choice. Weight Loss Guide therefore does not recommend Carb Intercept with Phase 2.

Advanced Fat & Carb Blocker
Patch-CR by Smith Sorensen is a different
form of Carb Blocker. Rather than taking
multiple pills every day, now you can just
apply a diet patch. This patch supposedly
releases phaseolamin, which inhibits
alpha-amylase from breaking down carbs into
sugars and thus blocks their absorption.
Whether phaseolamin can actually be
effective when absorbed through the skin is
questionable, seeing how the action of
amylase takes place in the small intestine.
Not only does this product contain no other good supporting ingredients, it throws a stimulant into the mix: guarana. Similar to caffeine, guarana stimulates the central nervous system and can raise blood pressure and heart rate, as well as cause side effects such as jitteriness, nervousness and insomnia. Weight Loss Guide does not recommend Advanced Fat & Carb Blocker Patch-CR.
