Exercise Fun—More Fun, Less Rules
Many of us dread physical activity. We either don't enjoy the
strenuous activity or we don't enjoy working out in public. That is
why a quarter of adults get absolutely no physical activity (and why diet pills are such a hot commodity in today's world). And
those that do exercise complete only the bare minimum. The key to
effective exercise is happiness. And how can we achieve happiness?
That's easy, by doing something that we enjoy. Just because you need
to lose weight it does not
mean that you can't have any fun in the process.
Everyone knows that physical activity can reduce our risk of
developing certain chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart
disease. The guidelines recommend that the average healthy adult
gets 2.5 hours of moderate intensity exercise or 1 hour and 15
minutes of vigorous exercise each week. How many of us actually
achieve this goal on a weekly basis? A very small number! So what
are some of these physically challenging activities which we can
embark upon aside from sweating at the local gym? Well, as far as
moderate intensity activity is concerned there is ballroom dancing,
brisk walking, bicycling less than 10 miles per hour, water
aerobics, and gardening. Yes some of these may seem untraditional
but they can surely help you achieve
quick weight loss.
As for vigorous physical activity, you have the option of jogging,
running, jumping rope, and bicycling 10 miles per hour or faster (to
name a few). So as you can see, exercise does not have to entail a
sweaty gym routine. It can be comprised of almost any physically
challenging sport or activity you enjoy. Simply chose your all time
favorite outdoor activity and turn it into a daily exercise. And if
you don't have a particular activity in mind, see what your friends
are doing and try a few different things. Enjoying what you do will
help you lose weight more
effectively (and then you might not even need the diet pill supplements).
