Weight Loss Foods That Encourage Good Diets
There are numerous health oriented foods available in the grocery stores today. Everything from fatty fish
to whole grains is beneficial to our daily diet. For those of us who want tolose weight, it is important to
find foods which encourage weight loss naturally.
Aside from the diet pills, such as the all natural hoodia gordonii, some of the foods which encourage weight
loss include: grapefruit, sardines, pumpkin, grass-fed beef, and green tea. Let's start off with the grapefruit.
This particular fruit has been known as a fat fighter for many years now. Numerous studies have shown that those
individuals who consume half of a grapefruit prior to their meal are more successful at losing weight. On top of
its fat fighting abilities, the grapefruit contains cancer fighting compounds (including liminoids and lycopene).
Sardines are great for weight loss because they are rich in protein. Protein has been known to stabilize blood,
stimulate metabolism, and help you feel full longer. Sardines are also a great source of omega 3's which are
responsible for promoting a healthy cardiovascular system and improving mood.
Grass-fed beef, similar to sardines, is rich in protein. All you have to do is make sure that your poultry does
not contain any antibiotics, steroids, or hormones. Grass-fed beef is known to stimulate metabolism, make you feel
full longer and provide you with beneficial omega 3's. Pumpkin, on the other hand, is a great weight loss food
because it is rich in fiber. And last but surely not least is green tea. Green tea, although it is not a food,
offers several benefits, and can be found in some diet pill supplements. It is rich in antioxidants which aid in heart health, digestion, blood sugar regulation,
and metabolic rate. With raised metabolic rate, we are able to digest food quicker and shed more pounds. So the next
time you are looking for a healthy snack or meal, try to incorporate one of these super foods into your diet.
