Ideally, we would be able to get all the nutrients we need
from natural, un-fortified foods. But as we've have
often pointed out, sometimes stomach function and other
conditions can prevent us from absorbing enough of what we
need from our foods. Or you may have a condition that
requires higher doses or a wider range of nutrients than you
could get from your diet alone. This is why it's so
important not to write off diet pills and supplements altogether based on
half-truths put out by the mainstream media.
